Each of the proposed thematic sessions would consider cross-cutting issues such as governance and institutions, and gender considerations. They will also discuss innovations in methods and approaches towards assessing the impacts of policy reform and addressing knowledge gaps in achieving inclusive development. The thematic issues mentioned will be subsequently defined by specific sub-themes and key questions to be addressed. They will be deliberated upon in parallel sessions featuring a set of papers selected through a competitive call for papers with particular emphasis on young researchers from the Global South.
How can the expanding digital infrastructure be effectively utilized to strengthen socio- economic programs in the Global South, and how can best practices be shared among countries?
To what extent are the interests of the global South for ensuring fair representation adequately integrated by international institutions?
How can multilateral institutions be reformed to ensure adequate representation of countries from the Global South and accelerate human development?
What institutional mechanisms are essential for the transfer of “green technologies” to countries in the South to address global warming and ecological changes?
How can global cooperation be enhanced to achieve better global digital governance, particularly involving countries from the Global South?
What forms of joint cooperation between countries are required to address issues such as illegal human migration, child trafficking, and associated violence?
How can countries in the Global South improve access to economic resources needed for addressing deficits in human development ?
